Description
This is a special one credit intensive weekend (Friday/Saturday) short course covering specialized issues in film industry representation. Topics will include copyright clearance rules and practices, fair use in film, including for parodies, satire, and jokes, and copyright clearance negotiations. Michael C. Donaldson is an entertainment attorney who has been working with independent filmmakers for over thirty years. In addition to representing writers, producers and directors, he serves as General Counsel to Film Independent (home of the Independent Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival) and the Writers Guild Foundation.
