For those of you interested in this course for fall 2013, I have attached the syllabus from last fall’s course, The syllabus for this coming fall will of course be updated, but this will give you a good picture of the topics I intend, as of now, to cover. They are (a) strict, intermediate and rational basis review under the Equal Protection Clause, (b) equal employment, ( c) disability rights, (d) voting rights, (e) sexual orientation cases, (f) recent state and local legislation dealing with undocumented aliens, (g) implementation of statutes prohibiting discrimination by recipients of federal financial assistance, and (h) issues involving modification and termination of orders and decrees, the use of 42 U.S.C.1983, and entitlement to attorneys fees.
