Notwithstanding the change in course name and number, the course is the same as that given last Spring. There are no prerequisites for the course and there will be a final exam, and no term paper. The reading requirements for this class has been cut in half, however, the course content will be essentially the same.

Description

For the private sector, this course will cover union organizational campaigns, unfair labor practices, representation, elections, collective bargaining, arbitration, strikes, lockouts and secondary boycotts. For the public sector, this course will cover selection of a union, collective bargaining, mediation, arbitration, and constitutional rights of employees.

There will be a final exam, and no term paper.
