Description
The class is an introduction to French law and continental legal culture. The class is both a preparation for the students involved in the dual degree with University Paris X Nanterre and an opportunity to discover and apprehend the substance and the culture of French for researchers and future lawyers involved in transactions with the French civil law world. Being taught in French, the class also has a strong focus on vocabulary, French legal writing, readings and in-class conversation.
