Description
Examines holistically the treatment of information by law and lays out the main legal, economic, and political models for the ownership and control of information. The overall theme of the class is that the information economy is now a fact rather than science fiction and that the same series of issues is confronted in each new area of information regulation, e.g., privacy and confidentiality concerns versus free speech concerns.
