Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)

Dialogue on the importance of protecting personal data and improving enforcement of data protection regulation as part of the right to privacy.

The Head of Legal, Enforcement and Regulations (HLER), Babatunde Bamigboye, Esq. of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) and an International Fellow of the United States Federal Trade Commission, as parts of its initiative of knowledge exchange and global networking, visited the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Discussions between him and the Director of the Center, Prof. Eduardo Bertoni, focused on how to improve enforcement of data protection regulations and how to strengthen the enforcement power of data protection authority. Both highlighted the importance of protecting personal data as part of the right to privacy.
