The Director of the Center for human rights and humanitarian law at American University Washington College of Law visited the Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) to discuss mutual commitment by both in promoting Human rights, enhancing legal framework, and advancing humanitarian law. The collaboration was aimed at addressing global challenges, ensuring accountability, and protecting the rights of all individuals. Further discussions centered on the need to manage environmental and social harm arising from IDB Group-financed project. This is a humanitarian issue and both emphasized the need to protect the environment in order not to abuse human rights and cause harm to their health.

In promoting sustainable development and safeguarding human rights, It is crucial to collaborate with other stakeholders and together we can make a meaningful impact.
