Many AUWCL faculty and staff are speakers and moderators on panels at this year's Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting, taking place Jan. 2-5 in Washington, D.C. Dean Claudio Grossman and AUWCL will also welcome alumni, faculty, and friends for a reception Jan. 2 in conjunction with the event. The event will be held at the Washingtion Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

American University Washington College of Law has entered into a collaboration with the District of Columbia Department of Health to develop opportunities for students to work on cutting-edge health law issues.

Faculty have been interviewed by local, national, and international media about the release of of the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee's report on the CIA's interrogation techniques.

On Nov. 25, a "Ferguson Open Forum" was held at American University Washington College of Law. Students, faculty, and staff participated in this discussion following the grand jury decision in the Michael Brown case. In addition, faculty have provided legal analysis on this topic for local, national, and international media.

The Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project at American University Washington College of Law brought together local high school competitors in November for the William H. Karchmer Local High School Moot Court Competition.
