AUWCL students were celebrated by faculty, staff, friends, family and generous donors at the annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner held at AUWCL. Through the generosity of AUWCL alumni and friends, this year $350,000 in named scholarships were awarded to exceptional students, in addition to the $12 million provided in financial aid.

Students Alejandra Aramayo, Kamille Go, and Kathryn Kimball won best brief out of 16 teams at the NYU Law School’s Tenth Annual Immigration Moot Court Competition.

Students Chris Erly '16, Wenxi Li '15, Charlie McKiver '15, and Mohammad Mesbahi '16 received first place at the University of Maryland Health Law Regulatory and Compliance Competition.

In the context of the partnership between AUWCL and the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO), the law school hosted the 19th meeting of the ITSO’s Advisory Committee on Feb. 12. The Advisory Committee convenes between ITSO’s Assembly of Parties and gives advice and feedback to the Director General of ITSO between Assembly of Parties. Many Ministers, Ambassadors, and government representatives attended.

Three American University Washington College of Law students—Annie Berry, Deanna Glickman, and Robert Maes — have been selected from 70 applicants for the prestigious Gideon’s Promise Law School Partnership Project (LSPP).
