Professor Presents at the White House, DOJ Event on Criminal Justice

On Dec. 3, Professor Cynthia Jones gave a presentation at the White House during a conference called "A Cycle of Incarceration: Prison, Debt and Bail Practices." Professor Jones was a member of the opening panel and spoke about the prevalence of racial and ethnic disparities in bail, the topic she has researched for the past three years.

As a graduate of AUWCL, she aims to share her experiences as a law student and the lessons she has learned, and continues to learn, as an attorney. She recently returned to campus as an adjunct professor teaching an externship seminar in the Externship Program. In reflecting on her new role as a teacher, she shares what she hopes to impart to students.
