Trial Advocacy Program Hosts Advanced Advocacy Training Program for JAG Corps
AUWCL’s Stephen S. Weinstein Trial Advocacy Program hosted an Advanced Advocacy Training Program from September 19-23 for 24 U.S. Marine Corps Judge Advocates. Military attorneys traveled from all over the world to attend the week long training that focused on trial skills in the context of sexual assault cases in the military justice system.

The American University Washington College of Law Program on Law and Government will host two events on the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court Term — “On the Docket: A Look at the 2016-2017 Supreme Court Term” on Wednesday, September 28 and the 18th annual “Looking Ahead at the New Supreme Court Term” on Thursday, September 29. These events will give attendees the opportunity to listen to previews of some of the important cases from experts on constitutional and criminal law issues. They will also provide an important look at the potential future scenarios regarding the vacant seat left by Justice Scalia.
