Poverty Simulation
The “Walk a Month in My Shoes ” Poverty Simulation is a unique training opportunity for anyone wishing to develop clearer insight into the hardships faced by low-income clients. Participants leave with a visceral understanding of the day-to-day experiences of a person living in poverty so that they can better understand, represent, and advocate alongside their current and future clients.

discuss conflicting procedural rights in investment arbitration. Speakers include

Crimes Against Humanity During the Argentinian Dictatorship: Bringing Perpetrators to Justice/Crimenes de Lesa Humanidad Cometidos Durante la Dictadura Argentina: Trayendo los Perpetradores a la Justicia
Join the Center for Human Rights & Humanitarian Law’s Anti-Torture Initiative to hear from Mr. Raul H. Sánchez, Secretary for Human Rights of the Province of Cordoba, Argentina, in discussion with Juan E. Méndez, Professor of Human Rights Law in Residence and the former U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture. Mr. Sánchez will provide insight into the crimes against humanity committed by officials during Argentina's military dictatorship, as well as discuss the recent efforts to bring these officials to justice. This event will be in Spanish. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
La Iniciativa contra la Tortura y el Centro de Derechos Humanos y Derecho Humanitario invitamos cordialmente a una presentación del Sr. Raúl H. Sánchez, Secretario de Derechos Humanos de la Provincia de Córdoba, Argentina. El Sr. Sánchez brindará información sobre los crímenes de lesa humanidad cometidos por oficiales durante la dictadura militar en Argentina, y analizará los esfuerzos recientes para llevar a estos oficiales ante la justicia. La discusión será moderada por Juan E. Méndez, profesor de Derecho de los Derechos Humanos en Residencia y ex Relator Especial de las Naciones Unidas sobre la Tortura. Este evento será en español. Habrá traducción simultánea al inglés.
