Soundbreaking: A Discussion with Eric Schwartz (WCL ’84)

12:00PM - 01:00PM Washington College of Law Y115

Join us on Wednesday, March 7th from 12-1pm to hear from WCL alum Eric Schwartz about his work on Grammy-nominated Soundbreaking! Mr. Schwartz will also be using fair use excerpts from the show for illustrative purposes. Register here: https://form.jotform.com/pijip/soundbreaking

Soundbreaking: Stories From the Cutting Edge of Recorded Music, the eight-part music documentary that began in 2016 on PBS, has been described by The Hollywood Reporter as a "don't-miss" documentary. The review goes on to call the series "riveting" and offers high praise for this project brought to life by MSK, Higher Ground, and Show of Force.

One of the key participants in production was MSK Partner and WCL alum Eric Schwartz (WCL ’84), who helped lead the firm's Motion Picture, Television & Music Transactions team in advising on all aspects of the production, distribution, and financing of the series for over eight years. MSK Partner Jim Guerra served as an Executive Producer of the series, and Eric Schwartz served as Chief Production Counsel as well.
