On February 1, 2012, the War Crimes Research Office and the Women and International Law Program co-hosted a conference with the Embassy of The Netherlands on the challenges faced by women in conflict and post-conflict situations. The event, part of WCL’s Founders Celebration, was a great success, with over 100 guests in attendance. WCL Dean Claudio Grossman delivered opening remarks, and a conversation between Dutch Ambassador Renée Jones-Bos and Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues Melanne Verveer served as the event’s keynote.
