This year was the first time the 18th Annual Works-in-Progress in Intellectual Property conference was virtual. The WIPIP colloquium provides intellectual property scholars with a forum to present their academic works-in-progress and receive early feedback from their peers.

After a competitive application process, WCL was selected to co-host this iteration with Texas A&M and the University of Utah. As participation was free for attendees and hosts— we were overwhelmed with applications—we decided to make the conference twice as long as usual, lasting six days over two weekends. We hosted over 100 paper presentations from around the world plus four topical plenary panels. We innovated in several ways to make it more fun and engaging with great payoffs in attendance and engagement.
