LMC's Retreat in Montreux

LMC's Retreat in Montreux

On January 29-30, 2025, over sixty participants, including fifteen ambassadors and forty country delegates, gathered in Montreux for the Retreat of Like-Minded Countries in WIPO. The Ambassadors’ Retreat was organized by the Mission of Indonesia to Geneva, PIJIP’s Geneva Center and the South Centre.

Discussions focused on the current agenda for various WIPO committees including the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR), the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklore (IGC), and the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP). Experts Sean Flynn and Andres Izquierdo from PIJIP, and Carlos Correa, Viviana Munoz, and Nirmalya Sian from South Centre provided research and technical information and support during the retreat.
