On March 16, 2021, INSEAD, one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools, announced its appointment of Washington College of Law Alum Nabila Aguele to its Board of Directors.

Nabila has been an active member of the INSEAD community since her time as an MBA student. She has served as a member of the INSEAD Campaign Board since 2019, and a member of the INSEAD Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Taskforce since 2020.

"It is an honor to be joining the INSEAD Board of Directors. For me, this is a further call to serve, to champion, and to bring my diverse experiences and background to the role. I particularly look forward to helping deepen engagement with Africa, our young Alumni, and the global INSEAD community", Aguele said. (INSEAD)

Nabila's international background and diverse experiences have helped to fuel her passion for sustainable development work at the intersection of human capital development and public financial management. She currently serves as a Special Advisor to Nigeria's Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, where she provides policy and strategy advice on international development cooperation, performance monitoring, and evaluation for data-driven policy formulation and implementation.

As an advocate for women's rights and gender equality, Nabila is supporting the Ministry's efforts to make public financial management systems more gender-responsive. She also sits on a panel of judges for the Girl Rising #MyStory Challenge, a campaign encouraging young leaders to share how they are fighting for human rights, racial justice, gender equity, and girls’ education.

Nabila has a background in law and spent eight years working as an attorney representing Fortune 500 companies in complex civil litigation at international law firms. Her passion for impact-driven-lawyering and leadership development led her to complete a two-year term as a Practitioner-in-Residence in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic and a Professor here at the Washington College of Law.
