PIJIP is pleased to announce that for the fifth year in a row, American University’s Intellectual Property Law Program is ranked among the top 10 intellectual property programs in the country in the U.S. News 2023 Law School rankings. This is the second year in a row we have appeared as the #8 IP program in the country. The peer evaluation recognizes the strong reputation of American University’s large and prolific faculty, extensive curriculum, pioneering IP Clinic, active event programming, and path-breaking sponsored research activities located in the Nation’s Capital.

You can find reports on the most recent activities in our 2022 annual report, and invitations to our next events (which are now being offered in person!) here.

U.S. News rates five AUWCL programs among the top 10 in the county: Clinical Law (#3), Trial Advocacy (#3), Part-Time Program (#5), International Law (#7), and Intellectual Property (#8). We are also highly ranked in other areas, including Health Care law (#16) and Criminal Law (#24). Four other programs are ranked in the top-50.
