Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property

Law.com has quoted PIJIP Faculty Director Christine Haight Farley in their article about a labor lawyer's attempt to trademark the slogan "Trump too Small".

This week, PIJIP and the South Centre are running a short course on the legal issues being considered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).

PIJIP has published a new working paper by Dr. Chijioke Okorie, Lecturer at the University of Pretoria.  The paper is part of our series on the Right to Research in International Copyright.

The briefing note discussed the share of the budget that is dedicated to advancement of the WIPO Development Agenda, and ways that WIPO could incorporate balanced IP into their workplan for the coming two years.

The main event, a Public Symposium on the "Protection of Copyright User Rights from Contractual Override," was co-hosted by the American Library Association and the Association of Research Libraries.  

Once again, American University's Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP)  has been ranked among the top 10 Intellectual Property Law programs.
