Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Duan as a Senior Policy Fellow of the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP). Charles' work with PIJIP will focus on the impact of patent law on generic drug availability and scientific research, computer software copyrights, and competition and interoperability in digital markets.  

PIJIP’s project on the Right to Research in International Copyright has announced an Arcadia Fellowship for LL.M. students.

On April 22nd, Professor Farley will be presenting her paper “Furniture Fights” at the 14th Annual Design Day hosted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and co-sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the IP Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA-IPL), the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

On April 29th, Professor Victoria Phillips, Professor and Director of the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic, will be joining the faculty of the Samuelson-Glushko Law and Technology family of clinics together at an AALS conference to discuss their shared mission and collaboration to advance social justice goals in this increasingly important field.

Professor Farley to discuss “Fine Wine and Fair Wine,” Geographical Indications for Wines in TRIPS and Free Trade Agreements at Monash University.

The Academic Network on the Right to Research in International Copyright has issued a call for  research relevant to the development of global norms on copyright policy in its application to research. This network is chaired by PIJIP and supported by the Arcadia Foundation.
