International and Comparative Law

On April 12, 2021, the U.S. and International Anti-Corruption Law Program, led by AUWCL Professor Nancy Boswell, former U.S. Transparency International President, discussed with leading experts some recommendations for the Biden Administration to restore public integrity.

In a 90-minute review involving leading experts in arbitration, AUWCL’s Center on International Commercial Arbitration offers practitioners and law students an overview of the current, cutting-edge developments in international commercial and investment arbitration in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.  

The ICLS team looked behind the scenes and inquired into the multiple fields of law in which comparative law, especially the comparative method applied to administrative law, impact real legal practice, and how it has shaped the lives of lawyers and academics working in this field. The following are the interviews with experts’ insights into these matters.

The WTO & U.S. Trade Law and Policy Summer Program took place from June 22 - July 2, 2021. This program covered topics including trade and peace, vaccines, intellectual property, and more. From June 21 through July 2, 2021, Professor Padideh Ala’i and Dr. Renata Amaral co-directed a comprehensive, two-week course on the World Trade Organization (WTO) and various aspects of U.S. trade law and policy. The course covered cutting-edge issues and concerns including international relations and policy, public health initiatives, investments, labor and worker rights, food safety, the environment, and several other interesting topics that affect international trade.
