Professor Rodriguez-Pinzon Participates in the Conference “Dialogue on Immigration Detention”
Professor Rodriguez-Pinzon was invited by Caribbean Centre for Human Rights in Trinidad and Tobago to open the conference “Dialogue on Immigration Detention” on February 10, 2021. He made a presentation on “The overall human rights situation with respect to immigration detention, and Protecting human rights and protecting national security.” The topic of the panel focused on the situation of Venezuelan asylum seekers and refugees. Other panelists included representatives from United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the International Detention Coalition (IDC) and The Women's Institute for Alternative Development (WINAD).
