This panel of experts will discuss the work of the United Nations International Law Commission (ILC) in its recent agenda, such as sea-level rise, immunity of State officials from foreign criminal jurisdiction, and prevention and punishment of crimes against humanity, among others. The panel brings together recognized experts who have been influential in advancing these international law issues and their implications for international human rights and humanitarian law. Attendees will be able to join the conversation regarding the role of the ILC in the codification and progressive implementation of international law in these crucial subject matters.
