Stephen E. Leach is a partner with Leach Travell Britt pc, in Tysons Corner, Virginia. For nearly 30 years his practice has focused on creditors’ rights, out-of-court workouts, and bankruptcy cases. Since 1988, Mr. Leach has also taught bankruptcy law as a member of the adjunct faculty of The American University’s Washington School of Law.

Mr. Leach is a former chapter 7 panel trustee for the District of Columbia and served for several years as chair of the Business Bankruptcy Committee of the District of Columbia Bar. In 1993 the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Board of Certification certified Mr. Leach in business bankruptcy.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Leach was a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice and a Trade Regulation Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission.

Mr. Leach received his B.A. from Yale College in 1972 and a J.D. from Stanford University Law School in 1976. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and California (inactive).
